Jeffrey D. Wagers, age 58, of Frederic, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at St. Croix Valley Good Samaritan Center.
Jeff was born on Nov. 1, 1948, in Pender, Neb., to Joy and Donald Wagers. While growing up, Jeff lived in Nebraska, Minnesota and California. He graduated from Pacific High School in San Bernardino, Calif., in 1967, and he attended San Bernardino Valley College.
Jeff moved to Atlas, in 1989 with his former wife, Julie, and his daughter Anjuli (AJ). In 1999, he moved to Frederic. Jeff was employed with Durex Products from 1990-2006. In July of 2006, he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his dog, Boo-Boo, who died Thursday, June 14, 2007, at almost 14 years old. Jeff enjoyed coin collecting, bird watching, beer brewing, and gardening. He loved the Green Bay Packers, Fantasy Football and NASCAR.
Jeff is survived by his daughter, Anjuli (Orlando) Simon; friend, Julie Baryluk; mother, Joy Chamskas; siblings Rebecca Butterweck, Jon Wagers and Melissa Plein.
Jeff was preceded in his death by his father, Donald Wagers; stepfather, Joe Chamskas and nephew, Joshua Plein.
A memorial service/visitation was held at the Rowe Funeral Home in Frederic on Thursday, June 28. The Rowe Funeral Home, Frederic, was entrusted with arrangements
