Obituary for Bernard A. Hammelman
Bernard Arthur Hammelman of Amery, WI, born the 30th day of July, 1928, passed away quietly in his home on January 15th, 2015. He was one of five children born to Arthur and Laura Hammelman of Deer Park, WI.

He worked for Farmers Co-op Creamery Company in Clear Lake, WI before serving in the Armed Forces as a motor pool maintenance mechanic during the Korean War, 1950-1952. He then served in the Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1956.

He married the love of his life, Norma Mae Anderson in June of 1955. They were married 58 years at the time of her passing in September, 2013.

They ran a brewery in Clear Lake, WI before he graduated from Truck Trainer School in 1964. He was then hired as a professional gasoline transport driver for IndianHead Transport Company. During this time they had moved to Lake Elmo, MN until 1976 when they purchased a small farm south of New Richmond, WI. They harvested corn and soybean crops as well as raised beef cattle.

He retired early and they traveled for a few years before purchasing a home in Amery, WI in 1990. He had remained in his home for 25 years at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Krumm (Hammelman); sisters, Dorothy Olson (Hammelman), Louella Biederman (Hammelman); granddaughter, Alicia Garner (Krumm); grandsons, Kyle and Karl Krumm; great-grandchildren, Dezire Garner, Kade Krumm and Kyra Siemers; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.

He was truely loved and will be truely missed.
