Beverly Joyce Meyer, 88, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the United Pioneer Home in Luck, WI.
Beverly Joyce Wahlberg was born to Victor and Bertha Wahlberg at Taylors Falls Hospital on October 17, 1929. She grew up in the North Valley community near Milltown, WI. She was baptized into the Christian faith and attended the North Valley Lutheran Church for several years. She went to school at North Valley and Trap Rock Schools. She attended Milltown High School for a time but graduated from a correspondence school and a GED course.
She worked at Bell Telephone, Nash Coffee and Duncan YoYo in her younger years. Later she worked at Luck Bakery and United Pioneer Home 12 years from which she retired.
She married Bernard Murphy on June 24, 1950 at Center City, MN. They had four sons, David, Allen, Duane and Lee. Bernard passed away in 1988. She married Willard Meyer in 1998 on May 9th. She joined the Catholic faith at St. Dominics Church in Frederic, WI in 1975.
She was a first generation American. Her father, Victor Wahlberg came from Sweden when he was 8 years old. Her mother, Bertha Lothe Wahlberg came from Norway when she was 2 years old.
Beverly enjoyed family get-togethers and church activities as well as long walks. In her later years, she watched EWTN on TV and worked on puzzle books. She spent her last year at the United Pioneer Home in Luck.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Frederic, WI on Friday, June 1, 2018 – visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
