Bonnie Louise (VanMeter) Buchli, age 50, of Luck, WI passed away peacefully on July 26, 2017 after a courageous 13 year battle with cancer.
Bonnie was born in Cocoa Beach, FL on August 24, 1966 to Linda L. VanMeter and Steven G. VanMeter.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda VanMeter; grandmother, Mary Amborn; and biological father, John Crotteau.
Bonnie is survived by her father, Steven (Sue) VanMeter of Springbrook, WI; brothers, Jeffrey VanMeter (Bridget Golat) of Superior, WI, Timothy (Kimberly) VanMeter of Luck, WI; nephews, Nathan, Tanner and Dawson VanMeter; her 3 children, Jennifer (Matthew) LoRusso of Luck, WI, Jessica (John) Kowalik of Bloomington, MN, Keenan Nemeth of Luck, WI; and 6 grandchildren, Landyn, Logyn and Lylah LoRusso, Izzak Nemeth, Damon and Amelia Kowalik; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom she loved dearly.
Bonnie loved to ride her Harley Davidson. She also enjoyed garage sales, crafting, baking, fishing, and a nice frosty Coca Cola, as well as getting as much time as possible with her friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren. Bonnie was a beacon of hope for many who suffered from cancer and was an inspiration to all that knew her. She was a witty, selfless mother, sister, aunt and friend. Her message in life was to "Love life and be strong, even in the darkest and most hopeless of times. Your positivity is your strength".
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Luck Lions DBS Hall on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 1 to 4:00 p.m.
