Obituary for Clara M. Cogswell
Clara Mae Cogswell of Luck, WI passed away April 15, 2014 at the age of 83 at the United Pioneer Home after a short battle with cancer. Clara was born September 22, 1930 to Rose and Otto Bringe in Melrose, MN. Clara was united in marriage to Carol Cogswell October 4, 1952. Carol and Clara were blessed with seven children. Once all of the children were out of school, Clara took a job at the Luck School. Clara made some lifelong friends while working there. Clara retired from the school and spent many hours working in her flower gardens. Clara enjoyed sharing her plantings with everyone and liked getting plantings from others. Clara also enjoyed rummage sales and collecting unique items found at these sales. Clara loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They meant the world to her. Every grandchild and great-grandchild looked forward to going to Grandma Clara Maes house. There was always something new for them to see or play with. Clara spent many years playing golf, league bowling and playing cards. Clara taught her family the enjoyment of these activities too. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Carol; brothers, Art Bringe, Bob Bringe, and Dan Bringe; sisters, Lu Trisko, Esther Hinnenkamp, Margaret Hawn and Rosemary Foster. Clara is survived by her brother, Dick Bringe and sister, Marion Schultzenburg; children, Merritt (Cheryl) Cogswell, Kim (Karen) Cogswell, Chuck Cogswell, Gary (Laura) Cogswell, Cindy (Reg) Norgard, Jeanie (Mark) Falteisek, and Daniel Cogswell; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
