Obituary for Dellories A. Potter
Dellories Ann Olson Potter died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Amery Regional Medical Center following emergency surgery completing a very full life.
She was born July 28, 1921 in Proctor, MN. She moved to the Frederic, WI area at a young age after her father's death. After graduating from Frederic High School and attending technical school to learn dressmaking. She married Clifford Potter on August 5, 1942. Following three years of military service, they lived and farmed east of Frederic the remainder of their lives.
Dellories loved people. She loved greeting and feeding them. Playing cards of most kinds was one of her talents. She was a good organizer and devoted many of those skills to organizing Red Cross Blood Banks. She was a member of the Good Cheer Club since 1945, County Road W Homemakers since its formation in the 1950's, and a charter member of the Mixed Sampler Quilt Club.
Dellories was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford and her son, Donald (wife Cheryl Foley surviving). Surviving are her children, Betty (Wayne) Schilling, Bruce Potter (Nancy Anderson) and Larry (Claudia) Potter; grandchildren, Linda Schilling, John Schilling, David (Penny) Schilling, Heidi Potter Jamieson (Jeff), Luke Potter (Holly Budrow), Jaimi Potter (Tony Folsom) and Kayla Potter; great-grandchildren, Tate and Tyson Schilling, Carter and Quinn Folsom.
Visitation will be held at the Rowe Funeral Home, 101 Cedar Street, Frederic, WI on Friday, August 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorial services will be held at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 Linden St. E., Frederic, WI on Saturday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m. with lunch following.
