Obituary for Dennis D Blazies

Dennis Blazies was born July 2nd, 1947 to parents William Blazies and Mable Coen. He was greeted in Heaven by the love of his life, Barb on November 21.


Denny married Barb Johnson on July 18th, 1970. Together they took over her family farm after her father fell ill and passed also in 1970. In 1978 they purchased a farm just outside of Frederic where they continued dairy farming. Denny also worked at Lee’s Sawmill in Dresser, the Sawmill by Spirit Lake, and at the Frederic Feed Mill. After Denny and Barb sold their cows in 1998 he worked at Colonial Craft in Luck and TDI in SCF until he retired. Denny enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, going “Jeeping” with nephew Will and brother in law Bill, and spending time with friends and family.


Denny was preceded in death by his wife Barb, parents William Blazies and Mable Coen, and niece Jackie Boecker.



Denny is survived by his sister, Betty Yuhan and her daughter Dawn Hughes. His wife’s family Ron (Sandy) Johnson, Marie Ferrise, Sandy (Bill) Bartlett, Bill (Lynn) Johnson, Lori VanDoren, four nephews, 2 nieces, eight great-nieces and four great-nephews. No funeral will be held at this time. Next spring there will be a gathering held. Condolences may be sent to Sandy Bartlett or Bill Johnson.


Rowe Funeral home was entrusted with arrangements.
