Obituary for Donald W. Bee Sr.

Donald Wilbur Bee Sr., 80, of Burnett County originally of Aurora, Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2014 at Burnett County Continuing Care Center, where he was surrounded by his family.
Don was born on December 27, 1933 in Aurora, Illinois. He Enlisted in the United States Air Force on December 1, 1952 November 30, 1956, where he was in active duty overseas in the Korean War. Upon his return he married and had five children: Christine Williams, Virginia Curry, Donald Bee Jr., Tracy Lewis, and Johanna Welch. He worked as an electrician for Barber-Green for 32 years. He moved to Webster, Wisconsin in 1999 and resided in Burnett and Polk Counties until he passed.
He was known in the Burnett County area as the old man in the golf cart as he was rarely seen without it. He was known by many as Gramps. His hobbies included: fishing, bowling, horseshoes, riding his golf cart, eating strawberry cheesecake, and his deep love for the Chicago Cubs.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Vilas Leon Bee and Bessie Mildred (Dillow) Bee; brothers, Richard Dick (Doris) Bee, Manny (Phillis) Bee, Gene Charlie (Loretta) Bee; brother-in-law, Franklin Tooly; and great-nephew, Little Stevie Bee.
He is survived by his sister, Genevieve Jen Tooly; his children, Christine Williams, Virginia Curry, Donald Bee Jr. (Roni), Tracy (James) Lewis, Johanna (Charlie) Welch; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be at a later date.
