Obituary for Doris A. Pautsch
Doris Annette Christensen Pautsch of Luck, WI passed away peacefully on May 14, 2015 surrounded by her loving children.

She was born on May 13th, 1928 in South Milltown, WI to Henry and Inger Christensen. Doris attended South Miltown Grade School and graduated from Milltown High School in May, 1946. She attended the Minnesota Business School and then gained employment as a secretary at 3M in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Doris married Wilmer Pautsch of Luck on May 10, 1947 at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St. Paul. Their attendants were Audrey and Spike Johanson. A dinner and reception were held at her parents home in South Milltown following the wedding. Doris and Wilmer began their family in St. Paul before moving to Centuria and then to Luck where they raised their four children. In 1970, they built their dream home on Bone Lake where they spent 30 years making many fond memories with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In 2000 they moved back to the town of Luck which better suited Wilmer's health needs. Doris worked as a legal secretary for D.E. Jensen Attorney at Law and then as an optometric assistant for Dr. Spofford and Dr. Benedict of Luck while raising their four children.

Doris was very active over the last 60 years in the American Legion Auxiliary, Luck Lutheran Church, and in volunteer work in the Luck community. Doris enjoyed her flower gardens, cross country skiing, camping, and traveling with her husband and friends. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. People often said, "Doris is so blessed to have such a loving family", but we were the ones who were really blessed with such a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother!

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer; her parents; her brothers, Stanley (Elma), Irvin, Wesley, Raymond; and her special Aunt Carrie.

She is survived by her four children, Cynthia (Ken) Isaac, Wendy (Doug) Route, Vonnie (Randy) Cudd, and Greg (Kathie) Pautsch; 10 grandchildren, Brenda (Dean) Isaac, Andrea (Jeffrey) Voelker, Nathan (Jaime) Isaac, Joel (Heidi) Route, Aaron (Tracey) Cudd, Sara (Aaron) Curti, Adam (Mara) Cudd, Adam (Rebecca) Pautsch, Breahan Pautsch, Jamie Pautsch (Beau Forbes ); 17 great-grandchildren, Jesse and Taylor Garnas, Braden and Benjamin Voelker, Isabel, Eliza, and Delilah Isaac, Camden and Gage Route, Cole, Michael, and Marcus Cudd, Annabelle and Austin Curti, Hailey, Owen, Bridget, and expectant grandchild Pautsch; sister, Florence (Kenneth) Hoefs; sisters-in-law, Phyllis, Donalda, and Manetta Christensen.

Funeral services will be held at Luck Lutheran Church on Monday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. with one hour visitation prior to the service. Rev. Ralph Thompson will be officiating, soloist will be Delane Jorgenson, and organist, Margie Nelson. Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband, Wilmer at the Luck Village Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers will be Nathan Isaac, Jeffrey Voelker, Dean Garnas, Joel Route, Aaron Cudd, Adam Cudd, Aaron Curti and Adam Pautsch.

An online guestbook is available at www.rowefh.com . Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home in Luck, 715-472-2444.
