Obituary for Dorothy L. Lindgren
Dorothy L. Lindgren, age 88, of Luck, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 28, 2007. She was born in Luck, WI, on December 20, 1918, to the late Nels and Anna (Christophersen) Jorgensen. She married Albin Lindgren on November 1, 1946. Albin preceded her in death on April 15, 1984. They farmed in Cushing before moving to Milltown in 1959. Dorothy loved to garden. She always had huge vegetable gardens but still found time to plants lots of flowers, and she used those flowers to make flower arrangements for her church. Later in life Dorothy made quilts with the Milltown Lutheran Church Women. She also made many children’s quilts that she donated to a homeless shelter in Minnesota. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Judy (Ronald) Seekins of Oregon, WI, and Ruth (Stacey) Abrams of Waunakee, WI; six grandchildren, Terry Seekins, Madison, WI, Jenny (Thomas) Eithun, Oregon, WI, Jason King (fiancée Melissa Janz), Madison, WI, Mathew (Tracy Enerson) King, Belleville, WI, Benjamin King, New Orleans, LA, and Sharah King, Waunakee, WI; three great-grandchildren, Garrick, Mallory and Timaree Eithun, Oregon, WI; three step-great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Sarah and Jonathan Enerson, Belleville, WI; one brother, Charles ( Mary Ann) Jorgensen; and nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Albin; two brothers, Howard and Roy; and one sister, Ardyce. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Luck Pioneer Home for their professional and loving care of Dorothy. Funeral service will be held at MILLTOWN LUTHERAN CHURCH, 113 Main St. W. on Friday, November 2, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Danny Wheeler officiating. A visitation will be held at the church beginning 1 hour prior until the time of service. Burial will be at Milltown Cemetery. Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, we will love you always. Rowe Funeral Home of Luck, Wisconsin, is entrusted with arrangements.
