Obituary for Edna I. Utley
Edna I. Utley was born July 18, 1917 at home in Sundance, Wyoming to Ewell and Anna Miller.  She died April 27, 2018 at the Frederic Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Frederic, Wisconsin. 

In 1924 Edna's family moved to Des Moines, Iowa where she attended school.  As teenagers she and her sister, Marian worked at the "Burch Biscuit" Company for 16 cents an hour.  She married Bradford Utley in 1938.  They resided in Iowa until 1945 when they moved to Pine Lake in Frederic, Wisconsin.  She was employed for many years by the Peterson family at the Ben Franklin Store. 

Edna loved doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and crocheting and knitting.  She made many warm mittens for her grandchildren and the "mitten tree" at the bank. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewell and Anna Miller; her husband, Brad; sisters, Marian Miller and Dorothy Hacker; brother-in-law, Karl Hacker; son-in-law, Marvin Riddle; nephews, Ewell (Joe) and William McAbee; and great-nephew, William McAbee III. 

Edna is survived by sons, John (Diane) Utley of Frederic, Bill (Kay) Utley of Aurora, MN; daughter, Elizabeth Riddle of LaCrosse, WI; granchildren, Greg (Lisa) Utley, Brett (Stacey) Utley, Scott (Kathryn) Utley, Michael (Amber) Utley, Joan (Ed) Beickman, Stephanie Troyer; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Olivia, Dylan, Owen, Grahm, Coen, Jayden, and Riley; nephew and nieces, Brad (Joyce) McAbee, Jeanine (Ron) Connolly, Joyce A. McAbee, and Margaret McAbee. 

Edna will be sadly missed by her family and friends. 

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
