Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Ellefson
Elizabeth (Betty) E. Ellefson, 83, of Frederic, WI passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018. She was born at home April 9, 1935 to Esther and Arthur Tyler in Bone Lake, Wisconsin. She went to LaFallet School and graduated from Luck High School in 1953. She then went to work in Minneapolis, MN where she met and married Leslie Ellefson January 15, 1955. They were blessed with two sons, Mark and Scott.
Betty ran a daycare in her home from 1963 to 1983. She worked at MMC, a hospital in downtown Minneapolis until her retirement. They then built a new home across from Ward Lake in 1988.
She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, bird watching and traveling in their motorhome. Leslie and Betty spent many hours doing lawn care for others.
Betty had a strong faith in God and prayed for many of her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; son, Mark; father, Arthur; mother, Esther; and sister, Virginia.
Betty is survived by sons, Scott (Vickie), Leslie (Katie), and brother, Alvin (Joann) Tyler; granddaughters, Beth, Cheri, Kelsey and Crystal; goddaughter, Pamela Cooper; along with many relatives and friends.
The memorial service honoring the life of Betty Ellefson will be held on Saturday, December 8th at Zion Lutheran Church of Bone Lake. Visitation at 10 am, service at 11am. Pastor Mike Fisk will be officiating. Lunch to follow service.
