Ethel Ann Lane, 87, of Frederic, WI passed away peacefully June 10th, 2017 at Frederic Nursing and Rehab.
Ethel was born March 17, 1930 in Rockford, Iowa to parents, Ceo and Sadie (McMullen) Warner. She graduated high school in Rockford, Iowa where she lettered in basketball. She married Earl R. Lane of Webster, Wisconsin in Volga, Iowa on January 21, 1951. They raised their family in Iowa, California and Wisconsin.
To celebrate her memory Ethel leaves her children whom she shared with former husband, Earl Lane: Steven (Martha) Lane of Leland, North Carolina, Cheryl Chappelear of Luck, Wisconsin, Gail Lane of Frederic, Wisconsin, Marlene (Scott) Nelson of Lewis, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Dr. Chad (Gretchen) Lane of Willmington, North Carolina, Kristie (Aaron) Kunkel of St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin, Eric Chappelear of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Beci (John) Setzer of Amery, Wisconsin, James (Jenna) Miller of Frederic, Wisconsin, Patti (Jake) Harvey of Luck, Wisconsin, Jessica (Brian) Ford of Williston, North Dakota, Ann (Josh) Nelson of Frederic, Wisconsin, and Nicole Nelson of Menomonie, Wisconsin; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Cheryl) Warner of Greene, Iowa and Gary (Virginia) Warner of Denver, Iowa.
Ethel is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Peggy Miller; husband, Earl Lane; her parents, Ceo and Sadie Warner; three beloved sisters, Bethel Ritter, Sara Kelly, and Gwendolyn Warner; four adored brothers, Allen, Charles, Gordon and Mike Warner.
Visitation will be held at the Rowe Funeral Home in Frederic on Tuesday, June 13th, from 4 to 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church in Lewis, WI on Wednesday, June 14th at 2:30 p.m.
Interment will be held at a later date in Marble Rock, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent in Ethel's name to the Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church.
