Obituary for George E. Hornung
George Hornung of Siren, Wisconsin passed away at his home November 11, 2020. He was born in Spearville, Kansas on December 28, 1939.
George worked as a cable splicer for many years all over Saudi Arabia, Florida, New York, Minnesota and Frederic, WI, that he called home for a few years. Then he met his future wife and after 10 years he finally persuaded her to marry him. They were married January 24, 1985. George enjoyed the fishing and hunting in this area.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Inez and Otto Hornung; brothers, Ray, Johnnie (wife Carole) Hornung and sister, Rose Mary Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hornung; siblings, Charles (Gloria) Hornung, Kathleen Fowler; children, Vicki (Gary) Davenport, Curtis (Jill) Hornung, Jimmie Hornung and Troy Lanning; grandchildren, J.W., Jake, Nichole, Andy and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Liam, Michael, Jett and Brody; many family members and friends.
