Obituary for Gordon W. Fasbender Jr.
Gordon William Fasbender Jr, 81, of Luck, Wisconsin passed away from cancer at home with his loving wife, Barbara at his side on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
Gordon was born October 1, 1935 in Frederic, Wisconsin to Gordon and Verna Fasbender; the youngest of 6 siblings, Delores Winans (1991) of Superior, WI, Jack Fasbender (2010) of Foxboro, WI, Gerald Fasbender of Superior, WI, Barbara Jean Anderson (2014) of Fontana, CA, and Beverly Fasbender (1934) of Superior, WI. Gordon graduated from Superior High School in 1954 and then served 4 years in the Air Force. On April 18, 1959 he married Barbara Ann Nagy of Tacoma, WA. He had a very successful career of 37 years with the Boeing Company working at many different locations around the country before he and Barbara retired to Luck, Wisconsin where they are the owners of Pine Grove Resort. In his spare time Gordon enjoyed hunting, fishing, working special projects around the resort and the house, and enjoyed watching sports and old western TV shows and movies.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Barbara and their 2 sons, Gordon William Fasbender III of Kent, WA and Darren Edward Fasbender and his wife Renae and 3 grandchildren Brennen, Madeline and Cameron of League City, TX.
Services will be held Saturday, October 22nd at Rowe Funeral Home, 101 Cedar Street, Frederic, WI. Visitation will begin at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, 1511 Birch Ave., Frederic, WI. A Celebration of Life reception will be held from 1:00-3:00PM at Wilkins Bar, 1095 238th Ave., Luck, WI.
