Obituary for Howard E. Hanson
Howard "Howie" E. Hanson, age 80, of Luck, WI, formerly of St. Paul Park, MN, passed away April 12, 2017 in Amery, WI.
Howie was born in New Market, MN on November 18, 1936. He married the love of his life, Carol Thompson on March 3, 1956 and they were married 60+ years until her death on July 23, 2016.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Susan) Hanson of Brooklyn Park, MN, Pamela (David) Edwards of Augusta, WI, Karen (Joseph) Roberts of Osecola, WI, John Hanson of Cottage Grove, MN, Lisa (Thomas) Schaeffer of Apple Valley, MN, James Hanson of Apple Valley, MN and Ben Hanson of Eagan, MN; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter; siblings, John (Shirley) Hanson, Caroline (Ray) Linder, Vivian Christy, Juleen (Marlyn) Jeske, Vernon Hanson, Henry Hanson, Deanna Clevenger; many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by wife, Carol; siblings, Selmer Hanson, Ernest Hanson, Marion Amacker, Esther Burnell, and David Hanson.
Howie worked as a machinist at American Hoist & Derrick and Waterous Company for a combined 30 years. He was always willing to help his family and friends wherever he could. He loved his family very much and he also loved and lived his life according to the word of his God Jehovah.
Memorial services will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 228 1st Avenue East, Milltown, WI, on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
