Obituary for Jon K. Ormson
Jon Kevin Ormson was born on May 11, 1965 in Durand, Wisconsin. He was the middle child of three children of Allen and Mary Ann Ormson. He attended Weyerhaeuser Public Schools and UW Stout. Jon worked in sales in the telecommunications industry. He was married for 14 years to Lisa Dumke.
Jon was a man of many passions and talents. He was an avid outdoorsman and was the happiest when fishing, hunting, and being close to nature. His family and friends were happiest when Jon was in the kitchen because he was such a skilled cook and loved to create wonderful meals. He also was a great athlete and excelled in many sports including, basketball, baseball, football, and skiing. Jon loved music, enjoyed theater and the arts. Perhaps his most tremendous talent was his ability to exude a zest for life that made everyone who was lucky enough to meet him an instant fan of Jon’s. His ability to light up a room was unmatched. Everyone felt better about themselves when Jon was in their presence. He was a one-of-a-kind man with a sensitive heart and soul. Words simply cannot describe what a profound loss his passing is to this world. He will be so dearly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Al and Mary Ann Ormson; his older brother, Dave Ormson; younger sister, Krista Varley; sister-in-law, Sandy Ormson; brother-in-law, Darren Varley; niece, Sarah Ormson; nephew, Ryan Ormson; and many family members and cherished friends.
