Obituary for Kathryn Miller
I. Kathryn Elliott Miller, age 87, died on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006. Kathryn was born October 6, 1919, on a farm near Green Ridge, Mo., the daughter of Emmet and Lea Elliott. Kathryn was one of nine siblings. She accepted Christ as her savior at a young age, attended church faithfully, helped in Sunday school and junior church in her younger days. On July 23,1941, Kathryn was united in marriage to Viggo H. Miller. Together they farmed for a few years near Green Ridge, Mo. Two sons were born to this union. In 1946 the family moved to Falun, working and eventually buying the Falun Grocery Store. When the store burned in 1975, Viggo and Kathryn became the caretakers for the Luck Edling-Rowe Funeral Home until 1989, and continued to reside in Luck. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; sisters, Mary Sanders, Bernice Pahlow and Leona Sanders; brothers William, Max, Emory and Daniel Elliot; great-grandchildren, Ryley Strilzuk and Elijah Miller. Kathryn is survived by sons, Stanley (Jackie) of Luck and Leon (Karen) of Falun; grandchildren, Kathy (Jason) Burnett, Alicia Miller, Kimberly (Brian) Jensen, Eric Miller, Jeff (Rhonda) Miller, Kevin (Betsy) Miller, Jennifer (Eric) Wallin; 20 great-grandchildren, Noah and Emilee of Sedalia, Mo., Landen of Luck, McKenzie, Morgan and Braeden of Baldwin, Jamie of Luck, Amy, Macy, Abbey, Jordan, Levi and Zach of Grantsburg, Matt, Katie and Megan of Siren, Ellie and Brennen of North Branch, Minn.; sister, Myrtle Johnson of Missouri; sisters-in-law, Thelma Elliott and Arvella Elliott of Missouri; many nieces, nephews and friends.
