Obituary for Leonard C. Hansen

Leonard C. Hansen of Luck, WI, died on Monday, December 17, 2007, at the United Pioneer Home at the age of 82 years. He was born January 5, 1925, in Luck to Hans and Carrie Hansen. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as an Aerial Gunner on B-24 Liberators. On October 5, 1946, he was united in marriage to Shirley Hansen of Siren, WI. They resided in St. Croix Falls for three years, moving to Luck in 1949 at which time he began his employment with the Carlson Candy Company until his retirement in 1992. Leonard was an avid outdoorsman and dearly loved to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors. His work, hobbies, and interests allowed him the opportunity to always visit and spend time with all his special friends and relatives. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Lon (wife, Kathy); granddaughter, Kristi LaPointe (husband, Josh); and great grandchildren, Oliver and Lilly LaPointe. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Viola Daeffler and Evelyn Marsh; and one brother, Russel. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Luck Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, from 5-8 p.m. at Rowe Funeral Home in Luck. Internment will be at Lewis Cemetery in Clam Falls Township. Rowe Funeral Home of Luck, WI, was in charge of arrangements.
