Obituary for Lloyd F. Dau
Lloyd Frank Dau, 90, of Luck, Wis. passed away peacefully on April 3, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society in St. Croix Falls, Wis. with his family at his side.

Lloyd was born July 8, 1926 in Milltown, Wis. to Clarence and Agnes Dau. He graduated from Milltown High School. After graduation, he joined the Army for two years and then served in the Marines for another two years, followed by two years in the reserves.

Lloyd married Alice Coen on October 23, 1955 and lived in Luck, Wis. for their 61 years of married life. During this time he was blessed with four children.

Lloyd was a skilled mechanic and had a partnership in the Luck Standard Oil garage for 32 years. After retiring from the station, he worked at the Luck Country Inn for 21 years doing maintenance. In spring and summer you could often find Lloyd tilling gardens and mowing lawns for individuals in the community.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, cutting wood, and woodworking. His love of fishing included fly-in trips to Canada. In recent years, he greatly enjoyed weekly Saturday breakfasts in Amery with friends.

Lloyd was known as a patient, loyal, steadfast, hardworking, and kind man. He was a member of the Luck Legion for many years. Lloyd was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Milltown and his love of the Lord showed in how he served others. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Alice of 61 years; children, Douglas (Karla), Cheryl, Melody (Tom Cossette), Peter (Jeaneen); and grandchildren, John, Abeba, Mimi, Mauricio, AnaMaria, Daniel, Sean (Melissa), Kassandra, Delaney, Jordan, Madelyn, Morgan, Jared, Josiah, and Justin. He is also survived by sister, Mary Anderson and brothers, Harold and Bruce Dau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Agnes and brothers, Melvin and Raymond.

A service for Lloyd will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Milltown, 216 Milltown Ave. N., Milltown, Wis. 54858 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at the church starting one hour before the service. Pastor Dan Mielke will be officiating. Immediately following the service, burial will be held at Milltown Cemetery with presentation of full Military Honors. Lunch will be served at church following burial.
