Obituary for Marcia M. Anderson
Marcia Marie Java Anderson, 58, of Luck, WI died unexpectedly at home on June 6, 2013.
Marcia was born January 17, 1955 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Bergman) Java in Frederic, WI. She attended school in Frederic and Grantsburg and graduated from Frederic High School in 1973. She married Jon Anderson in 1974 and two children were born in this union.
Marcia worked as a clerk in several local stores, but her main focus had always been caring for her children and most recently her granddaughter. She was active in many community events, especially the Luck Winter Carnival and the American Cancer Society Walk/Run. Marcia was very talented and loved quilting, scrapbooking, card making, stamping, and enjoyed teaching others her crafts.
Marcia was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy; sister, Bev Brunberg; father-in-law, Big Joe Anderson; sister-in-law, Suzanne Barry; and brother-in-law, Mike Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Jon; son, Jake Anderson; daughter, Jaime Anderson; granddaughter, Aurora Anderson; father, Kenneth (Sonja) Java; siblings, Mike (Shelley) Java, Ruth (Duane) Picknell, and Mark (Tammy) Java; mother-in-law, Naomi "Boots" Anderson; brothers-in-law, Joe (Paulette) Anderson, Pat (Sally) Anderson; sister-in-law, Carmen Anderson (Mike’s wife); many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at Luck Lutheran Church, Luck, WI, on Tuesday, June 11th at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Ralph Thompson will be officiating.
