Obituary for Marie J. M. Weinzierl
Marie Jenny Martina Sederlund Weinzierl passed away peacefully Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Croix Regional Medical Center leaving a legacy of great love for family and friends and service to others.

She was born October 7, 1923 to Ruben and Inga Sederlund, being of Swedish and Norwegian decent. She was born in Clam Falls Township and spent a greater share of her life there. She loved the farm life and country atmosphere.

Marie attended the Maple Valley school grades 1-8 and graduated from Frederic High School in 1941. In the fall of 1941 she enrolled in the Polk County Normal School and graduated as a certified elementary school teacher in 1943. She continued her education throughout the years attending UW Superior earning her Bachelor's Degree. Marie taught for two years at Rocky Ridge School and 35 years in the Luck School system.

Marie married Victor Joseph Weinzierl on June 12, 1948 in Frederic, WI. They began their married life with God as the head of their household. This devoted union gave them two children, Kaye and Kevin, of which they were very proud. They valued family and friends. Vic and Marie were together until God called Vic home in 1986.

Marie loved helping others. She devoted much time to being a housewife and mother besides her career, but her favorite job was grandma.

Marie loved, loved, loved to bake. She also loved to read, paint and crochet. She always stayed in contact with family and friends by being an avid letter writer. She lived her life for her family.

Her grandchildren, Lindsey, Brittney, Victoria Jo and Ashley were her pride and joy. She was also "grandma" to several other children who were close friends of her granddaughters.

She was active in community affairs as a volunteer for several organizations, mainly the Frederic Care Center and the Polk County Red Cross. Marie was also a lifetime member and served as President of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Marie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Renee Weinzierl; son-in-law, Greg Heine; granddaughters, Lindsey (Troy), Brittney (Karl), Tori (Craig), Ashley (Jay); great-grandchildren, Hayden, Tayten, Rylie, Kayla and Taylor; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Inga Sederlund; husband, Victor; daughter, Kaye Heine; siblings, Esther Dahlberg, Florence Olson, Dorothy Hansen, Ervin Sederlund and Roy Sederlund.

Visitation will be held at Rowe Funeral Home in Frederic on Friday, September 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Bone Lake Lutheran Church, Luck, WI on Saturday, October 1st – visitation will begin at church at10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Lay Pastor Karoline White will be officiating. Marie will be laid to rest next to her husband, Victor at St. Dominic Catholic Cemetery in Frederic, WI.
