Obituary for Marjorie A. Gustafson
Marjorie “Margie” (Schneewind) Gustafson, 87, of Amery Memory Care, died June 23, 2017.
She was a graduate of Milltown High School and Polk County Normal School and Teachers College.
Margie was a teacher, homemaker and master gardener. She taught elementary grades at Wolf Creek School, Town of Sterling, Polk County and Luck School.
As a longtime resident of the South Milltown community, she was for many years active in the Polk County Homemakers, local 4-H club and many church activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clifford; brother, Henry Schneewind; and sisters, Janice Ditlefsen and Ruth Lundeen.
She is survived by her children, Martha Gustafson (Frank Greenlee) and Steve Gustafson; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Jon (Jan) Schneewind; and sister, Karen Schneewind.
A Celebration of Margie’s life will be held at Fristad Lutheran Church in Centuria, Wis., on Saturday, Aug. 19, with visitation at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. Rev. Mel Rau will be officiating with Cheryl Peper as organist. A reception will be held in the church hall following the service.
