Obituary for Michael J. Skow
Michael Jay Skow, age 54, passed away at his home in Luck, WI on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.
He was born on April 7, 1964 in St. Croix Falls, WI to Larry and Martha (Askov) Skow. Mike attended Luck Schools, where he graduated in 1982. He married the love of his life, Michelle on March 15, 1986. Together they welcomed 4 sons, Christopher, Nicholas, Michael Jr., and Brandon.
Mike loved to hunt, especially time spent processing deer with his boys and his brother. He also enjoyed camping at Skonewood, which became a family tradition. Mike enjoyed bowling, joining a league at Hacker’s Lanes with his son. He was a very hardworking man who found joy in spreading the word of God with his family and friends. But most of all, Mike loved spending time with his wife, sons, and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Martha Skow; father-in-law, Clarence Pierre; and brother-in-law, Michael Pierre.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Michelle; his sons, Christopher (Kristina), Nicholas (Kelly), Michael Jr., and Brandon; brother, Jeff (Michele) Skow; father, Larry (Lois) Skow; his grandchildren, Gavin, Addison, and Mia; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Luck Lutheran Church in Luck, WI on Tuesday, May 15th – visitation at church will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Julie Brenden and Rev. Gene Morfitt will be officiating. Michael will be laid to rest at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery following the service.
