Obituary for Naomi "Boots" J. Anderson
Naomi "Boots" Juanita Anderson, 89, of Luck, WI passed away peacefully on September 30, 2014 at the United Pioneer Home. She was born December 8, 1924 in Duluth, MN to Edward and Ethel (Haight) Currey. Boots graduated from Webster High School in 1942. She married Joseph Big Joe Anderson on July 20, 1946. The couple had five children and celebrated over fifty years of marriage.Big Joe and Boots raised their family in the Polk County area and eventually settled on a hobby farm north of Luck. Besides the full-time job of raising a family she also worked as an aide at the Luck High School, cooked for leagues at the Luck Golf Course, and then worked at the Polk County Register of Deeds office. Boots loved a good card game, traveling, and trips to the casino.She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Big Joe; sisters, Margaret, Eleanor Dodo, and Marie; daughter, Suzanne; son, Michael; and daughter-in-law, Marcia.She is survived by her sister, Donna Nebel of Omaha, NE; sons, Joseph (Paulette) of Hammond, Patrick (Sally) of Danbury, and Jon of Luck; daughter-in law, Carmen of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Eric Whyte of Paragould, AR, Jake Anderson of Luck, Jaime Anderson of Luck, and Amber Anderson of Portland, OR; great-granddaughters, Aurora Anderson and Layla Whyte; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.Funeral services will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Frederic, WI on Tuesday, October 7th - visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.An online guestbook is available at or .
