Obituary for Olivia C. Hansen
Olivia Hansen, 92, of Luck, WI died Friday, May 29, 2015 at the United Pioneer Home in Luck.
Olivia Caroline Jensen Hansen was born January 17, 1923 in Brooten, MN to Peter and Clara Skarhus Jensen. At the age of three years old, she and her family moved to Wisconsin. She attended various country grade schools and graduated from Luck High School in 1941.
On February 15 she was united in marriage to Lester Donald Hansen and three daughters were born. She and Lester farmed a small farm next to the Bone Lake Store all of their married life. She was a homemaker, working some summers at Stokleys Pea Factory in Milltown, along with her sister, Pearl.
Olivia loved working in the soil and had many flower beds and a large garden. She canned hundreds of jars of fruits and vegetables each year.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester in 1988; her parents; brother, Olander (Elaine) Jensen; sisters, Mildred (Calvin) Comstock, Elvera (Harold) Rouzer, Pearl (Johnnie) Anderson; in-laws, Myland (Leona) Hansen, Carl (Arlene) Hansen; sister-in-law, Dagney Hansen.
Surviving are her daughters, LaVonne (Robert) Hansen, Eileen (Leslie) Markee, Lila (Michael) Christensen; six grandchildren, Sonja (Kory) Klemmack, Melissa (Pat) Kelley, Shayne (Todd) Wilfer, Michael (Lisa) Markee, Scott (Stephanie) Christensen, Staci (Dixon) Magnuson; 12 great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Kory Jr, Ryan and Ted Klemmack, Kendra and Katelyn Kelley, Peter and Krista Markee, Matthew and Olivia Christensen, Bayli and Logan Magnuson.
Funeral services were held at Bone Lake Lutheran Church, Luck, WI on Monday, June 1st with Rev. Marilyn Crossfield officiating. Christina White was organist and vocalists were Scott Christensen and Staci Magnuson. Olivia was laid to rest next to her husband, Lester at Bone Lake Cemetery following the service. Pallbearers were Olivias six grandchildren.
