Obituary for Rick R. Beduhn
Rick Beduhn, 63, of Frederic, WI passed away at home on Friday, July 11, 2014. Rick was born in Milwaukee, WI to Helen and Ralph Beduhn, who lived in West Allis, WI. He had one older sister, Margie Ann. Rick attended Milwaukee Lutheran High School where he graduated in 1970. He graduated from The Metropolitan College of Business and Technology, in Milwaukee, WI. Rick managed several retail stores in WI and IL before his met his wife Nancy.
Rick and Nancy were married in 1977 and they moved to Kokomo, IN to begin their life together. A daughter, Laura, was born in 1979. This is when Rick began his sales career with Durex Products Inc. located in Windfall, IN. In 1987 Rick moved his family to the north end of Ward Lake, and began working out of the Durex facility in Luck, WI.
Rick enjoyed traveling and through work and vacations had the opportunity to visit all 50 states. Family was most important to Rick, and he was always happy to return home to the lake house that he and his wife built in 1990. He relaxed on his pontoon boat or his deck observing the wildlife in and around Ward Lake. Rick had a special way of making others laugh and have fun.
Rick is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Laura (Justin) Bohn of Ashland WI; his granddaughter, Nola Bohn; his sister, Margie (Bob) Raymaker of Kenosha, WI; sister-in-law, Mimi (Bill) Funovits of Pittsburgh, PA; sister-in-law, Shelly Legh-Page of Lake Zurich, IL; nieces and nephew.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Helen Beduhn and his aunt, Manette Martz of Orlando, FL.
Memorial services will be held at Bone Lake Lutheran Church, Luck, WI on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Gathering will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served following the service.
The family requests that all donations be made to Regional Hospice Services, 819 Ash St. Spooner, WI 54801 in lieu of flowers. Regional Hospice made it possible for Rick to remain at home through his fight with cancer.
