Todd Andrew Wondra passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the age of 66. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. His most cherished time was time spent with his family. Nothing made him happier then entertaining and sharing his talents with his grandchildren.
Todd was born August 19, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN. He resided in St. Paul with his parents and 7 siblings until the family made their move to Round Lake, west of Frederic, WI. Todd graduated from Frederic High School in 1970. After graduation he went to work for Strauss Knitting Mills, then operating in St. Paul. He married Carole Hanson on September 1, 1973. They had two children, Cory and Liza. For 17 years they made their home east of Lewis and in October of 1991, moved to their current home on Lamont Lake. Over those many years Todd worked a variety of occupations. Most recently he began his transition into retirement. Todd never backed down from challenges that came his way. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who could use his "I can fix it" abilities.
He will surely be remembered for his commitment to the honest and hardworking life he lived. His family will remember him for his amazing love for and pride he had for each and every one of them.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Gerald (Bud) Wondra and brother, Gerald (Buddy) Wondra Jr. He is survived by his mother, Eleanore Wondra; wife, Carole; son, Cory (Stacy); daughter, Liza Carlson (Curtis); grandchildren, Grace Wondra, Brant and Alexis McLeod, Andrew and Elsa Carlson; sister, Holly Route (Robert); brothers, David Wondra (Andrea), Jay Wondra (Patty), Scott Wondra ( Rose), Mark Wondra (Tammy), Paul Wondra (Karen); many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Per Todd's final wishes no services will be held but rather a gathering of close family and friends.
