Obituary for Wayne I. Summerfield

Wayne Irving Summerfield passed away suddenly on November 11, 2007, age 73 years, at his home in Centuria, WI. He was born in Milwaukee on March 21, 1934 to George and Margaret Summerfield. He attended school in Milwaukee and later joined the army and served in Germany. He married Margaret Moses in 1957 in Frederic. They moved to Milwaukee in 1957 and Wayne attended barber school and worked as an apprentice barber. They had four children. In 1965 he moved to Clam Falls and worked for his parents at their tavern. In 1969 he married Janice Johnson of Luck. They had one daughter. They operated the Bone Lake Store from 1969 to 1975. Along with running the business he was a barber and contract painter. He enjoyed playing sports, bowling, golfing, fishing and cards and was a huge Packer fan. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret Summerfield. Wayne is survived by his children, Glenn (Song) of Kenosha; Jackie (Eric) of Saratoga, California; Lisa (Doug) of West Bend; Teresa (Helen) of Milwaukee; Jessica (Steve) of Luck; stepchildren, Dennis (Robin) of Luck and Kenneth (Debra) of Luck. He is also survived by sister, Yvonne (Steve) of Milwaukee; brother, Gene (Kathy) of Arizona; uncle, Sidney Teigen of Clam Falls and special friend, Loretta Radeck of Balsam Lake. He was the loving grandfather of Samantha, James, Christina, David, Andrew, Sonja, Alicia, Asher, also his step-grandchildren, Ryan, Ethan and step-great grandchild, Matthew. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30th at 2:00 pm at the Bone Lake Lutheran Church. The Rowe Funeral Home, of Luck, WI, was entrusted with arrangements.
