Obituary for Steven "Lars" E. Larson
Steve “Lars” Eugene Larson of Centuria, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 15th, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Steve is survived by his soul mate and wife, Sonia (Kerssen) Larson; his loving daughter, Jacqueline Kilpatrick; grandson, Brayden Kilpatrick; step-children, Cory Knyphausen, Drew Ericson, Rachel Ericson; and granddaughter, Nixie Knyphausen; parents, Eugene (Sandra) Larson and Wanda Stauff; siblings, Michael Larson, Wendy Johnson, David Larson and Kimberly Rogers. Steve was preceded in death by step-father, Russ Stauff.
Steve grew up on the East Side of St. Paul. He was a graduate of Tartan High School. He was a long-standing member of the BAC, Laboror’s and Brigestone Unions. He spent the last 20 years living the country life in Wisconsin enjoying life with his wife and his land.
Steve’s love, friendship, joy of life and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
The family has requested memorials or donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, February 21st at North Valley Lutheran Church – visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Maggie Isaacson will be officiating. An additional Celebration of Life will be held at JJ’s Club 35 on Saturday, February 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
